Spam

February 8th, 2010

I decided to make my posts more about my observations.

Everyday I open my gmail account, I get a mail saying:

I GOT A ROCK HARD ERECTION, GET YOURS TOO NO PRESCRIPTION REQUIRED

I don’t exactly know what is creepier, the fact that a total stranger is telling me he has a rock-hard erection or he’s telling me that I can’t get a rock hard erection.

But that is the nature of spam mail, it just comes randomly to whoever it can.

Such is life, we meet random people. Sometimes, so random that we just discard them since they are either so creepy or so weird (and in some instances, both).

Yet there are times in those random people, we meet people who are true gems. They give us comfort, provide us with guidance and shares us their happiness as well as sorrow.

We call them friends.

*and yes, this is another one of those random posts*

Back to Work

January 21st, 2010

Vacation ended a few days ago and I am back at work as I write this.

So far, i have had a good amount of sleep these past 2 days due to me going to bed at around 5 or 6 pm and getting up at around 2am. The rest of the time I spent playing Flyff til around 5am where I had to get ready for work.

Anyway, I just need to squeeze in an hour of exercise per day and I’m all set. ^___^

Funny thing happened on my way to work today. So there I was driving with my glasses on when suddenly one of the lenses popped off. For a moment there I didn’t give it any thought until I realized that I was unintentionally zigzagging the road. xD

So I had to drive with my left eye closed for a few minutes until I managed to find a place to pull over and pop the lens back in.

Anyway, I’m going to go food shopping today since I don’t have anything to eat (or drink) at my place.

I have had a number of problems these past few days but so far I think I’m managing quite fine. Got my MVPI done a few hours ago so hopefully I can finish off my car registration renewal by next week.

The telephone people reconnected my telephone line yesterday after some incompetent employee disconnected my line without checking if it’s paid or not. Yeah, I’m used to the local incompetence.

I also went to IKEA a few days ago to get a set of new bath towels and a pair of bed sheets. My old towels were like 4 years old already and they are so rough that I can use them to sand rust off metal while my bed sheets were either stained or torn (yeah, too rough in bed). lol xD

Anyway, that is it for now. Until next time then. :-)

New Year

January 6th, 2010

Another year ended and another year begins… but some things remain the same.

A few weeks ago, I decided to stop blogging. But here I am again. Old habits do die hard I suppose.

What is there to blog about… life, love and search for wealth and everlasting happiness?

To be honest, I have no idea. Maybe it’s best to just go with the flow.

Anyway, last December has been one crazy month. To paint you a picture…

… my best bud’s mom died so we had to find a way to get him back home in time for the funeral.

… my boss (although a bit annoying at times but have been like a father to me) left the company and country on Christmas

… my car’s 60,000 km warranty expired and suddenly needs a SAR 6,000+ repair (which is 6-10x higher than normal)

… my office’s copy machine, printer and video camera all broke down in succession and still have not been repaired til now

… my car registration expired and needs to be renewed

Needless to say, most of these things costs money (which I don’t have). So ended up using all of my credit cards. Now it’s going to take months to pay off the bills. *sigh*

With all these things I finally decided to take a 3 week leave from work a day before Christmas Eve. With the exception of 2 days when my best bud came back and stayed over, I just spent the whole day playing Flyff and sleeping.

Ok, not getting as much sleep… but at least I’m entertained.

Well, the good news is, with proper money management these coming months, I can pay everything off by the end of the year. But it means another wasted year paying off bills. Guess that’s better than nothing.

I got an email from my ex-boss’ boss and it looks like a work plan for a supervisor. I wonder if I am getting promoted. Knowing him, I’m only gonna get loaded with more work and no additional compensation but we’ll see. If I do get promoted hopefully I get more pay and that means it would solve one of my main issues for now.

Karma… it’s time for some payback for all those good deeds I did.

One thing I like about Flyff is it provides a distraction and sometimes, I get to meet some nice people. So far I have a few good friends online but you know, you’ll never really know a person unless you have been physically with them for some time.

Anyway, before this goes on and on, here is a quote which I really liked last year.

Live for today but look forward to tomorrow.
