Another year ended and another year begins… but some things remain the same.
A few weeks ago, I decided to stop blogging. But here I am again. Old habits do die hard I suppose.
What is there to blog about… life, love and search for wealth and everlasting happiness?
To be honest, I have no idea. Maybe it’s best to just go with the flow.
Anyway, last December has been one crazy month. To paint you a picture…
… my best bud’s mom died so we had to find a way to get him back home in time for the funeral.
… my boss (although a bit annoying at times but have been like a father to me) left the company and country on Christmas
… my car’s 60,000 km warranty expired and suddenly needs a SAR 6,000+ repair (which is 6-10x higher than normal)
… my office’s copy machine, printer and video camera all broke down in succession and still have not been repaired til now
… my car registration expired and needs to be renewed
Needless to say, most of these things costs money (which I don’t have). So ended up using all of my credit cards. Now it’s going to take months to pay off the bills. *sigh*
With all these things I finally decided to take a 3 week leave from work a day before Christmas Eve. With the exception of 2 days when my best bud came back and stayed over, I just spent the whole day playing Flyff and sleeping.
Ok, not getting as much sleep… but at least I’m entertained.
Well, the good news is, with proper money management these coming months, I can pay everything off by the end of the year. But it means another wasted year paying off bills. Guess that’s better than nothing.
I got an email from my ex-boss’ boss and it looks like a work plan for a supervisor. I wonder if I am getting promoted. Knowing him, I’m only gonna get loaded with more work and no additional compensation but we’ll see. If I do get promoted hopefully I get more pay and that means it would solve one of my main issues for now.
Karma… it’s time for some payback for all those good deeds I did.
One thing I like about Flyff is it provides a distraction and sometimes, I get to meet some nice people. So far I have a few good friends online but you know, you’ll never really know a person unless you have been physically with them for some time.
Anyway, before this goes on and on, here is a quote which I really liked last year.
Live for today but look forward to tomorrow.
